Chinese New Year- Gong Xi Fa Cai

On Friday was the last day of Chinese New Year and Room 19 celebrated by learning all about it. We looked at pictures of lanterns and watched some cool lion dance clips on you-tube. The kids were also in awe when we watched some fireworks displays. One of the best things about celebrating Chinese New Year is the ang pao (red packets) which is usually filled with money!
Room 19 had a go at making their own and got them filled up with yummy gold coins (because Mrs Warid cannot afford to give out real money!). Here are some pictures of Room 19 in action!
