Golden Time!

On Fridays the kids in Room 19 love it when they have completed all their work for the week and get to have 'golden time'. This is a time where they choose to do an activity. It may include creating something with the play-dough or wooden blocks, some chill out time in our reading tents with a good book, lego, playing in our shop corner doing some role play or just some sit down and relax colouring time. It lets the kids choose something that they want to do and also promotes time playing with the different people in class. This leads to a happy classroom where everybody is comfortable with one another and friendships are formed. Golden time does not happen every week (sometimes there is just not enough hours and minutes in the day to complete our work) but when Room 19 get it they sure make the most of it!
