Duffy theatre 20/2/19

On Wednesday we had Duffy Theatre come into our school and perform an amazing play for us. It was about Duffy and his cousin who got lost in a game. The kids really enjoyed all the characters especially the funny Destructor and Puzzler. Here are some pictures and kids writing from the day.












Yesterday I saw Duffy and Puzzler and the Destructor. It was fun. I hear Duffy's aunty splat on the wall. It was at the hall and I saw Duffy and his aunty too. They were performing a play. I felt happy because it was funny.

Yesterday I saw Duffy theatre in the hall. I felt happy because it was funny. I saw Duffy dab on the magic bricks. I heard the aunty say "Splat!" on the screen. The move was cool. All of th juniors went to the show and the seniors came after too. I heard Duffy say "I want to change my skin".

I saw a Puzzler with a green costume. The Puzzler switched the bricks and Duffy came back. She changed the bricks into the wrong order and Duffy was shocked. Duffy said "Oh". Duffy later put it in order and her forgot the word.

Yesterday I saw Duffy theatre because they were performing. They were funny and everyone was laughing and me too. It was at the hall. It was good because I liked it. I heard Duffy theatre say " I want to change my skin".

Here is some writing that Room 19 would like to share with you about what we have learnt so far about growing seeds and plants. To grow a plant I would need a watering can, sunlight and also space so the seeds do not fight over the sun or the rain. They need some air so it can breathe. Plants needs soil to cover the seeds and roots so it grow when it has had sun and water. After that it will grow bigger and bigger. By Raema Plants need water otherwise they will die. They need spoil too so they keep safe. They need sun and air. You need a seed to grow a plant. Nutrients is food for the plants and it is found in soil. Remember to pull the weeds out. During week 8 BMPS celebrated Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori. During the week Room 19 learnt some Te Reo songs and learnt the names of the colours as well as new kupu about some simple directions from the teacher. Author Study

This term the junior school are doing a NZ author study. Each week we will be looking at some New Zealand authors and reading their books. This week Room 19 were focusing on Lynley Dodd who wrote the famous Hairy Maclary books. Here is some of the kids responses to characters in her books. Hercules Morse is my favourite dog from the books because he is the giant of the team because he is fat. Hercules Morse is the fattest dog who jumps up high from Scarface Claw because he is so scared of him.
